Ever spotted a celebrity in the perfect piece of jewellery and wondered how much it cost? Personalised jewellery brand Abbott Lyon have gathered the data to find out which celebrities are rocking the most expensive jewellery pieces around (and how much it cost to get the look).

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood comes top for the most expensive jewellery wearing a $31 million necklace by Jonathan Arndt at the Grammy’s. The necklace was dripping in diamonds with oval, pear, round and marquis diamonds weighing in at a whopping 381 carats in total.

Lady Gaga

Next on the list is Lady Gaga (AKA Stefani Germanotta) with a beautiful 128.54 carat necklace from Tiffany & Co. The necklace features Tiffany’s most famous jewel, the yellow diamond, and was previously worn by Audrey Hepburn in her “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” heyday. It was valued at $30 million.

Madonna

As you’d expect from the Material Girl herself, Madonna has been spotted wearing $20,000 worth of Harry Winston diamonds at the Academy Awards. This included the jeweller’s famous diamond cluster necklace for a true touch of Hollywood glamour with Madonna’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired look.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett hit the red carpet at the 2014 Academy Awards in opal earrings, a diamond bracelet and a pear-shaped diamond ring from Chopard, totalling a cool $18 million. She went on to win the Best Actress award for her role in “Blue Jasmine” at the same event.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron wore a Harry Winston diamond necklace worth more than $15 million to mark 80 years of the Oscars. The one-of-a-kind flawless necklace was from the Incredibles Collection and featured a 31-carat emerald-cut diamond paired with diamond earrings.

Beyonce

Queen B wore diamond-encrusted chandelier earrings and matching necklace by Lorraine Schwartz, one of her favourite jewellery designers, to the Grammy’s. The necklace contained over 400 carats and went perfectly with her dazzling Peter Dundas sequinned dress with a plunging neckline that showed off her diamond necklace. Fun fact: Lorraine Schwartz also designed Beyonce’s wedding ring.

Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway wore the 94 carat Tiffany Lucida Star diamond necklace to present the Academy Awards. She paired it with a Tiffany Legacy diamond ring and Tiffany Novo 10 carat diamond earrings, making that over $10 million in diamonds on the red carpet.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock wore Harry Winston earrings and a matching bracelet to the Oscars, totalling $8.2 million (the bracelet cost a cool $6.4 million). She paired her jewels with a sleek, strapless navy Alexander McQueen dress and sideswept curls to celebrate her Best Actress Nomination for “Gravity”.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman wore a seriously stunning necklace by L’Wren Scott in 2008. At 1,399 carats and worth $7 million, it featured 7,645 diamonds in various cuts, shapes and sizes. Nicole was draped in diamonds on the red carpet, taking her little black dress from simple to statement and kicked off a trend for rough diamonds and elaborate necklaces.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara wore $7 million of gems to the Emmy’s in the form of Lorraine Schwartz earring and a ring. Her platinum earrings were set with rubies, sapphires and Colombian emeralds (one of the star’s favourites) and weighed in at 100 carats. She paired the earrings with a 40-carat Colombian emerald and diamond ring and a 21-carat Asscher-cut diamond ring.
